A resident of Uwanja wa Ndege, Shabani Ali, acknowledged NIDA’s operational progress. He stated that both he and his parents have a National Identification Number (NIN), which enabled him to receive a student loan for higher education and later secure a job. This job now allows him to support himself and his family.

NIDA has successfully integrated its system with numerous government and private institutions, improving the delivery of services to customers by ensuring safety and efficiency. Various institutions have reported the positive impact of the NIDA system in verifying customer information.
Examples of Benefiting Stakeholders:
- TASAF (Tanzania Social Action Fund): Peter Lwanda, an IT expert from TASAF, explained that NIDA’s system has helped them cross-check information of those eligible for the assistance program. By verifying details like age, residency, and citizenship, particularly for those living in border regions, they can provide support accurately and prevent resource wastage.
- CRDB Bank: Flora Urio, the Relationship and Business Manager at CRDB Bank, highlighted that since their system was integrated with NIDA, it has made it easier to make precise and secure decisions when providing services to their customers, from opening accounts to issuing loans. The system answers vital questions like “Who is this person?” ensuring the right customer is being served.
- PSSF Zanzibar (Public Service Social Security Fund): Jafari Mgala, Manager at PSSF Zanzibar, said NIDA has accelerated the process of delivering benefits by using the National Identification Number (NIN). This unique identifier has allowed them to quickly recognize and verify their customers, leading to faster service.
